Butterfly technique

To show off the multi-tonal effects of Color Touch Plus we have created the Butterfly, a new technique designed to bring colour to life with light. A highly effective addition to your salon's technical know-how, better still it’s very easy too.

Suggestion:

For initial hair colour 7/0, select 3 Color Touch Plus shades that complement each other and meet the clients' colour expectations. For example, the following 3 shades work really well together.
Underneath-colour 55/05
Mid section 88/07
Top section 66/03

STEP 1
Pre-section a butterfly shape on the top of the head. To make this easy, first make a rounded triangle shape with the point towards the nose and then take four semi-circles around the top of the head as shown.

STEP 2
Starting at the front hairline at the temple area, zigzag around the head to the other side. This will separate the hair out into three sections in total.

STEP 3
Start the colour application with shade 55/05 at the nape.

STEP 4
Apply colour 88/07 to the middle section.

STEP 5
Apply colour 66/03 to the top butterfly-shaped section.

THE FINISHED RESULT
Creative variation: try using a different shade on each wing to make the butterfly come alive even more.
